The title hides a much wider survey, with Mendelssohn, Brahms, Dvořák, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff appearing alongside Mozart.
Petrescu arranged the whole programme for piano, bass and drums, letting Dvořák’s Humoresque lean towards ragtime and Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the Flowers” slip into jazz.
