William Grosso and Rosario Di Leo’s partnership began at a charity concert in Los Angeles in 2013, where Grosso sang and Di Leo accompanied him at the piano. Six years later, their shared interest in opera became L’opera è jazz.
Grosso conceived the project and Di Leo created the arrangements, drawing on traditional and modern jazz, rock and contemporary classical music. Their aim was to open up the arias without losing the feeling that made them memorable in the first place.
