Personnel
Dieter Ilg double bass, Rainer Böhm piano, Patrice Héral drums and percussion

Ilg’s route into Ravel began with the Jim Hall and Art Farmer recording of the Pavane pour une infante défunte, which returned to mind when he needed new music for the trio.

Drummer Patrice Héral proposed Boléro, an apt choice for a group that treats rhythm as a shared argument rather than a fixed accompaniment.
