Recorded live in Amsterdam’s Amstel Church during the 60th Holland Festival, the album replaces Mozart’s development sections with open jazz improvisation.
Caine gives the “Turkish Rondo” a Turkish-style introduction, while Chris Speed adds klezmer inflections, Nguyên Lê brings blues language and DJ Olive supplies electronic interventions.

Caine’s eighth track combines two Magic Flute arias, so both originals appear before the final two source movements.
