That gives the group licence to treat classical favourites as though they had always belonged in a traditional jazz set.

Hear both

The classical side contains only the source pieces used on the album, in album order. The jazz side presents the complete album whenever a dependable copy can be embedded.

The originalsBizet, Ponchielli, Saint-Saëns, Petzold, Beethoven, Rossini, Lehár, Schumann, Vivaldi, Puccini, Debussy, Tosti, J.S. Bach · classical source works

Track 16 combines Bach’s Bourrée from BWV 996 and “Jesus bleibet meine Freude” from BWV 147, so it has one recording of each; the 38-second reprise at track 17 repeats track 1’s recording.
