Wade treats the album as a set of newly built stages rather than a recital of arranged classics, often combining several works inside one piece.

The most audacious example is “The Storm”, where Rachmaninoff and Chopin become parts of the same dramatic arc instead of appearing as separate numbers.

Hear both

The classical side contains only the source pieces used on the album, in album order. The jazz side presents the complete album whenever a dependable copy can be embedded.

The originalsRimsky-Korsakov; Rachmaninoff; Debussy; Duruflé; Rodrigo; Wagner; Chopin; J.S. Bach; Sibelius; Górecki · classical source works

The classical player presents each source once, in album order. One performance of Duruflé’s Requiem covers the three tracks drawn from it, and “The Storm” draws on two works, so both are played.
